What is high blood pressure?
Hypertension (the correct name) is basically when your readings are consisently over 140/90. This is normally the bench mark for doctors to put you on medication in an attempt to lower your blood pressure.
What will you do about it?
Firstly you must carry on with any treatment your GP has given you. It might surprise you to know that for 90% of people that have high blood pressure there is NO medical reason. It is the result of your body going into a permament stressed state (even if you dont actually feel stressed). We will have the time, that you do not get with your GP, to look at the factors which contribute to your high pressure and then treat them accordingly .
Who is your program for?
To qualify you should have Primary High Blood Pressure, that is high blood pressure with no underlying medical reason. You should also want to change and be prepared to examine what has contributed to your high blood pressure. The number of sessions can vary from 4 upwards depending on the aggravating factors and issues that we uncover.
What will it feel like afterwards?
You will feel relaxed and refreshed and ready for the rest of your day. Clients often say it is the most relaxed they have ever been and you can also be feeling very positive about the changes you are making. There are no bad after effects.
Is it just hypnosis?
One of things that makes Stortford Hypnotherapy so effective is that we use a combination of techniques, including NLP and CBT, as well as hypnosis. As I use these combinations of techniques it means that many different aspects of any issues are dealt with very effectively.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to access your subconscious mind either to find out what is causing you problems or to give suggestions to it so we can replace your old behavioural patterns with the new ones that you want.
